First of all, the length of words. Mobile videogames require very short text and English is perfect for this purpose. Italian words are longer though, so condensation and rephrasing techniques are required throughout the document. Furthermore, Italian nouns and adjectives vary in gender and number and this could reflect in some difficulty during the translation of the strings, which requires a bit of reworking.

Localising mobile games means also that it is very likely to find new specific terminology never translated before and in these cases localisers are akin to linguistic pioneers.
